Prospective Bidders with questions as to the true meaning of any part of the Drawings, Specifications, or other Contract Documents shall submit to the Architect, not less than ten (10) days prior to the closing time for acceptance of bids The Project consists of all labor, material and services necessary for the timely and proper completion of the North Canton Primary Parking Lots and Site Improvements as described in the bid documents related to the site location, all in accordance with the Contract Documents The Project phase consists of a One (1) Single Prime Contract. At this time Bids are being solicited for the following prime contracts 1. Site-Civil Work (including sub-contractor electrical work). Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope upon the forms furnished with the specifications and shall contain the full name of each person, agency/company, submitting the bid and shall be signed by an official authorized to execute a contract. Bid envelopes shall be marked: "North Canton City School District: Primary Parking Lots and Site Improvements". Bids will be received for the: Single Prime Contract (primarily site-civil work including sub-contractor electrical work). Any questions pertaining to interpretation of Contract Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Architect: SoL Harris/Day Architecture Attn: Jordan Lewis, AIA 6677 Frank Ave. NW North Canton, OH 44720 Phone: 330-493-3722 jlewis@solharrisday.com. The only bids that will be accepted will be those bidders ofrecord. Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code and all bids and certificates shall be upon the forms furnished with the specifications and shall be delivered to the North Canton City Schools District Board of Education 525 7th Street, NE, North Canton, Ohio 44720 at or prior to the date and hour specified for receiving bids. The Owner is not responsible ifdocuments are received too late for timely bid. In the case of corporations not chartered in Ohio, the bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate ofthe Secretary of State, certifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal for a period ofsixty (60) calendar days after the date and time ofreceipt of bids, except as provided by State law. The North Canton City Schools District Board ofEducation reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination ofbids which is deemed most favorable to the North Canton City Schools District Board ofEducation at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The North Canton City Schools District Board ofEducation further declare that they will award the contracts for this project to the lowest responsive bidder, which may not necessarily be the lowest bidder. The Specifications contain AIA Document A305, Contractor's Qualification Statement designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard. No single factor will control the Owner's decision to award, and the Owner reserves the right to exercise its full discretion. All significant questions/clarifications/substitution requests shall be submitted to the architect’s office in written form no later than Friday, May 3rd by 3:00pm.
