Site work for a water / sewer project in Marietta, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

CONTRACTOR shall pay wages to each laborer and mechanic at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in the current wage determination in accordance with the provisions of the Davis Bacon Act. Bidders shall comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, Equal Employment Opportunity as amended. Any Contract or Contracts to be awarded are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) Drinking Water Assistance Fund (DWAF) Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) funds. Bidders must demonstrate positive efforts to utilize DBEs. This procurement will be subject to regulations contained in 40 CFR 35.3145(d), and P.L. 102 389 and 100 590. In addition, Bidders shall comply with Executive Orders 11625, 12138, 12432. Bidders should encourage the participation of small businesses in rural areas. Materials incorporated into the projects shall comply with American Iron and Steel requirements. The City of Marietta reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 110 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The Strand Associates, Inc.(R) Project Manager is Brian L. Hackman, P.E., P.H., BCEE and can be contacted at Strand Associates, Inc.(R), 500 Neil Avenue, Suite 110, Columbus, OH 43215, (614) 835 0460 regarding the Project. For all further requirements regarding Bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and Contract Award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The installation of pipe of varying size (12 to 16 inch) and type (approximately 1,800 feet of HDPE pipe directionally drilled, approximately 100 feet of HDPE pipe installed via bore and jack, and approximately 750 feet of open cut of PVC and ductile iron pipe); a discharge structure from the City's water treatment plant to the Muskingum River; and associated necessary appurtenances. The opinion of probable cost for the Project is $1,500,000.
