Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Rockwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of existing concrete playground foundations, removal of a large boulder, earthwork, construction of a large new brick faced retaining wall with handrail, new inlets and drainage, sidewalks, ramp with handrails, and perimeter concrete border. The contractor is to prepare the new playground area for playground installation. Playground equipment, benches, foundations for equipment and benches, and pour-in-place play surface are to be installed by others. Successful bidders will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations and complete all work within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the Rockwood Area School District in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. In the event the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, a time extension may be granted by mutual agreement between the Owner and the selected Bidder. Contractors are encouraged to use minority business enterprises as subcontractors whenever feasible. All applicable Commonwealth and Federal Requirements will apply. The Rockwood Area School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept or reject any part of any bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory insurance certificates and Performance and Payment Bonds.
