Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Rockwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
The project scope of work includes selective demolition of existing structures and construction of a new restroom facility with improved access and parking. Bid alternates for additional parking and a walking path will also be considered. The intent of the project is to improve the park with respect to accessibility, health and safety, and aesthetics. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order ofRockwood Borough, or negotiable U.S. Government Bond (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
