Mill the existing asphalt pavement in any high spots and along concrete to provide smooth transitions. 2. Excavate and remove the damaged asphalt areas, covering approximately 500 square feet. 3. Haul away excavated materials. 4. Place and compact 2-4 inches PennDOT 2A limestone as needed for proper grade and base. 5. Place and compact 2 inches of PennDOT 19mm asphalt base in the base repair areas, covering approximately 500 square feet. 6. Clean the existing asphalt using an industrial blower and broom. 7. Place tack coat on the existing asphalt to help the new asphalt adhere better. 8. Place and compact 1/2 - 1 inches of PennDOT 9.5mm asphalt leveling course over the entire court area, covering approximately 24,600 square feet 9. Place and compact 1 1/2inches of PennDOT 9.5mm asphalt top over the entire court area, covering approximately 24,600 square feet. 10. Coordinate with new playground contractor to install asphalt along the new playground concrete curbing. 11. Paint court lines and markings on paved areas. 12. Removal and proper disposal of construction debris. 13. Restoration of disturbed areas to original condition. This will provide an opportunity to clarify any questions regarding the project, as well as to confirm project area measurements.
