The Project consists of furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, hauling and disposal of approximately 770 combined tons of Class B Sludge from Bed No. 1 and Bed No. 2 at the Womelsdorf Sewer Authority WWTP. The disposal of the material shall be at an approved Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection sludge disposal site. The disposal of the sludge shall be through the most cost efficient methods; either at an approved Landfill or Land Application utilizing Womelsdorf Sewer Authority's existing PaDEP General Permit (PAG-08). The project will also include the removal of 90 cubic yards of sand media in the beds and replacement of sand media with crushed recycled glass.
