Category 6A Cable installations to support Infrastructure Cabling and Wireless Local Area Network 1. Install and label 160 category 6A cable drops from the Wiring Rack in Room 136 to the drop locations indicated on the attached Room/Drop Sheet and Building Floor Plan. 1. Drop List 2. Millers Run Floor Plan 3. Drop counts and locations in each Room are indicated on the Drop List and on the Floor Plan with a color and count key for location, position and number of drops 2. Ceiling drops 1. drop count at each location is one or two as indicated on sheet and map 2. must be as close to the center of the room without being within 12 inches of a ceiling light fixture. 3. Gym ceiling drops are located 1/4 the length of the gym from each end. 12" x 12" Cage to cover each AP in Gym 4. Cabling must run above the ceiling without laying on the ceiling. 5. Non-Drop Ceilings require molding to the location with a Mounted Drop Box 6. Drop Ceiling drops must be mounted on or flush to surface of ceiling with faceplate accessible without lifting ceiling tiles 7. Drop Ceiling Alternate termination--provide Alternate Pricing to terminate locations above ceiling in a biscuit with a colored circle sticker marking location on Drop Ceiling Grid. 3. Drops Wall, All 1. Wall drop locations are to be terminated with keystone jacks and faceplates. 2. In wall cabling may use existing in wall conduit 3. Surface mount Cabling must be in conduit/molding. 4. Drops Wall, high 1. Must be in position indicated on map 18" below ceiling. 5. Drops Wall, standard 1. Must be in position indicated on map at 36" height to bottom of box. 6. Drops, Printer 1. In position indicated on map at 36" height to bottom of box. 7. Drops Wall, phone 1. in room wall location indicated on map 2. when near door to room drop mount height will be at 54" 3. when near desk or counter drop mount height will be at 36" 4. most classroom phones are intended to be near hallway door 5. non-hallway door phone drops should be combined into box/channel for Standard Height Wall drops if in proximity on map. 6. hallway door phone drops may be combined into box/channel for Standard Height Wall drops if in proximity on map and still allows Phone door proximity B. All installations shall be installed, labeled, tested and certified to the applicable ANSI/TIA/EIA-568.2-D standards and a copy provided to KESD 1. Installation must meet all applicable codes and should be completed in a neat and orderly manner 2. All wires must be terminated at both ends and clearly labeled for identification purposes. 3. Drop and patch panel identification must be in a consistent and consecutive order from each room with corresponding drops documented 4. Vender will supply an updated Spreadsheet listed in Patch Panel order with Room Name and Drop label. C. Remove existing Infrastructure Cabling terminated on Cat 5 or 6 patch panels in MDF (room 136). D. Provide a 1-year Warranty/Guarantee of equipment from the date of project completion/acceptance by KESD E. All work must be completed and satisfactorily tested before July 31, 2024.
