Site work for a water / sewer project in York, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of November 18, 2025, project has been awarded. Constructing a new 12" waterline along Liberty Street from the intersection of Hwy 321 Bypass to the intersection with McFarland Road. The waterline will be within the asphalt for the majority of the route and will require flowable fill and asphalt patching. New meters and services will be set for each customer as a part of the project. Also, multiple reconnections will be made to tie existing 6- and 8-inch waterlines to the new 12-inch main. The proposed waterline will be installed, tested, and put into operation in sections with the existing line being abandoned following the proposed main activation. Traffic control will be crucial to this project since the project is through downtown York.
