The project consists of the lighting of two (2) soccer fields and a set of pickleball/tennis courts located at Chubb Park in the Township of Chester. All work on this contract shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work, which have been prepared by the Township Engineer, William Masol, P.E., C.M.E. of the form of French & Parrello Associates, are on file at the once of said Engineer at 700 Grand Avenue, Unit 5A, Hackettstown, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Township Administrator/Clerk, Township of Chester and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Credited Check drawn to the order of "Township of Chester" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby noticed that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Chester in a lawful manner. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications.
