The City of Belton is accepting sealed proposals for Professional Engineering Services for the Design of the Central Avenue/Spring Street Bridge Project. This is a federally funded project, so special provisions apply to the contract. The project will consist of (1) removal of the current low water crossing over Nolan Creek, providing a cul-de-sac on Central Avenue/Spring Street, on the west side of the creek, at the location of the low water crossing, and (2) extending Spring Street eastward, building a new elevated bridge and reconnecting with Central Avenue/Spring Street on the east side of Nolan Creek. As of November 6, 2025, a design firm has been selected. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed.
