This project includes, but is not limited to, replacement of approximately 8,050 square yards of 4" Type B HMAC and 2" Type D HMAC, 10,000 square yards of moisture conditioned subgrade, 6" crushed limestone base material and geogrid, 3,550 linear feet of curb and gutter, concrete radius units, valley gutters, sidewalks, driveway approaches, striping, 4 precast light foundations, 500 linear feet of 2" PVC Schedule 40 conduit with pull string, curb inlets, area inlets, 18"-72" reinforced concrete pipe, headwalls, 694 linear feet of 8" PVC waterline, 647 linear feet of 12" PVC waterline installation of 8" and 12" Fittings (90&, 45&, 22.5&&, 11.5&), 8" and 12" gate valves, 110 linear feet of 16" steel encasement by open cut, 420 linear feet of 8" PVC SDR 26 wastewater pipe with manholes, 770 linear feet of 8" PVC C900 force main, SWPPP installations and traffic control, etc. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, tools, equipment and incidentals required, and performing all work necessary for the construction. Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and related items required to perform pressure and leakage testing of pressure pipelines. This specification covers the requirements and methods for rehabilitation of wastewater mains, lateral lines and manholes as shown on the Plans and as specified herein. A. The work to be performed under this section of specifications shall consist of the preparation of the right of way for construction operations by the removal and disposal of all obstructions from the right of way and from designated easements, where removal of all such obstruction is not otherwise shown on the construction drawings and specifications. B. Such obstructions shall be considered to include remains of houses, foundations, floor slabs, concrete, brick, lumber, plaster, septic tank drain fields, basements, abandoned utility pipes or conduits, equipment, fences, retaining walls and buildings. C. This item shall also include the removal of trees and shrubs and other landscape features, not designated for preservation and stumps, brush, roots, vegetation, logs, curb and gutter, driveways, paved parking areas, miscellaneous stone, sidewalks, drainage structures, manholes, inlets, abandoned railroad tracks, scrap iron and debris, whether above or below ground except live utility facilities. D. These obstructions do not include wells which shall not be removed unless specifically noted to be removed. Where wells are to remain in place, they shall be protected in accordance with appropriate state or county regulations.
