Renovation of a detention facility in Springfield, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

For the removal of existing beds and shelving, installation of new beds, desks, and seating in the Juvenile Detention Center. This document constitutes a request for sealed bids from prospective bidders for the acquisition of labor and materials to remove existing beds and shelving, and install new beds, desks and seating in the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center at 1000 N Boonville Ave. Springfield, Missouri 65802. Question Deadline 05/15/2024 Submit all questions about the Contract Documents to the Greene County Purchasing Department, in writing. Replies which modify the Documents will be issued to the Bidders of record as Addenda to the Drawings and Specifications, and will form a part of the Contract. The Owner will not be responsible for oral clarifications. Questions must be received by the Greene County Purchasing Department no later than four (4) working days prior to the Bid opening date. No Addenda will be issued less than two (2) days prior to the Bid opening date Bidders shall carefully examine the Bid document. Questions concerning discrepancies or ambiguities in specifications, instructions, and/or requirements of this document which become apparent to the Bidder upon examination of the document must be submitted to the Purchasing Department. Removal of (20) lower bunk beds in 20 rooms Removal of (6) upper bunk beds in 6 rooms Removal of (40) shelves in 20 rooms The cutting/grinding off of the welded bunk beds & shelves from the plates embedded in the precast concrete walls and grinding smooth the plates. Removal of the bunk beds & shelves to the dock. Includes touch up paint (paint provided by Greene County), making safe the fire detection devices, and dumpsters for scrap materials. Installation of (20) NORIX Attenda Space-Saver beds in 20 rooms: Wedge anchors and 3/8" bolts required to attach to floor are to be provided by Contractor. Groove along underside edge for caulk application (caulk to be provided by Contractor). Installation of (11) NORIX Attenda Shelf Storage Units in the day room: Anchors required for attaching to wall to be provided by Contractor. Groove along mounting surface for caulk application (caulk to be provided by Contractor).
