Contractors will provide a dumpster for all debris and place it in an area preauthorized by City staff as to not impact emergency operations in any way. The work site will always be kept clean, maintain a dust curtain/ safety barrier to minimize potential hazards typical of construction site workspace. The work site will be left clean at the end of each workday, so Fire Operations staff and emergency operations are not affected and/or potentially Injured due to unsafe conditions. The Contractor will ensure all subcontractors have the proper licenses, insurance, and personnel to successfully complete this type of work and can perform their respective trades without delays of any kind. Work hours will be Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm, unless alternate days and times are authorized by Fire Chief Kevin Carroll or Deputy Fire Chief Erich Thiemann. Any alterations to the exterior, or interior finish materials, colors etc. will be discussed with Fire Chief Carroll or Deputy Chief Thiemann and preapproved prior to making any selections. All interior finish selections for floor and wall tile, cabinets, countertops, door finishes, and paint will be discussed and approved by Fire Chief Kevin Carroll or Deputy Fire Chief Erich Thiemann prior to ordering. The awarded contractor must make every effort to allow for continued operations during renovation work. Question Deadline 05/06/2024 at 11:00 AM ET If the Bidder has any questions regarding this ITB, the Bidder must submit such inquiries and requests for clarification via the Question/Answer Tab only. These inquiries or requests for clarification must provide the questions along with the relevant Section(s) of the ITB being questioned by the Bidder. The Bid Bond shall be for 5% of the amount bid and shall be submitted with the Bid Submittal. A bid shall constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date or until the date of award. In the event that an award is not made by the City within one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date, the Bidder may withdraw their bid or provide a written extension of their bid.
