Site work and paving for a road / highway in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Paving - 2.72 miles of scratch & topcoat, up to 22 ft in width. Base repair approx. 460 tons in a 1300' x 20' section. For item #1 only: liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day. The work in connection with the project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on the project per the rates provided in the bid packet. Paving bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Honey Brook Township. Winning contractor must have liability insurance naming Honey Brook Township as an additional insured. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded bid must be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of the award unless otherwise stated in the bid documents. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
