The intent of the Contract Documents is to provide for the execution and completion of the Work in its entirety. Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, the Contractor shall furnish all permits, transportation, handling, storage of materials, labor, tools, implements, machinery, supplies, materials, water, heat, utilities, and incidentals, and shall do all things necessary to perform and to complete the Work. When words that have a well-known technical or trade meaning are used to describe Work, materials, or equipment, such words shall be interpreted in accordance with that meaning. Reference to Standard Specifications, manuals, or codes of any technical society, organization, or association, or to the Laws or Regulations of any governmental authority, whether such reference be specific or by implication, shall mean the latest Standard Specification, manual, code or Laws or Regulations in effect at the time of opening of Bids, except as may be otherwise specifically stated. Deadline for questions is Thursday May 16, 2024 at 4:30 pm Alaska time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
