The City of Calabasas (City) is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified electrical contractors to provide installation, repair and maintenance services for traffic signals, intersection safety lights, communication and other speed feedback devices. In addition, the contractor shall provide emergency repair, non-emergency routine inspections, and new equipment upgrade and installation work. The City currently operates and maintains 25 traffic signals and 42 streetlights. The City also has 12 Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), 2 Vehicle Detection Systems (VDS), 5 speed feedback devices, 2 Light-emitting Diode (LED) signs, and 14 Proxim wireless radios. In accordance with California Labor Code Sections 1770 et seq., the Contractor shall pay general prevailing rate of per diem wages to all workers employed under this contract. The initial contract term will be for five (5) years from Effective Execution Date with an option by the City to extend up to two one-year periods. The City shall have the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to terminate the Agreement at any time. If the City exercises its right to terminate the Agreement, the Agreement shall cease to exist. Refer to Attachment A for general proposal terms and conditions. The City reserves the right to furnish supplies, materials, and installed equipment required for performance of the work.
