The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide Pre-Construction Services and complete Construction Services as the CMAR for the New Sewer Lines - Rittenhouse Road & Pecos Road project. SECTION I - PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Mesa (COM) requires a CMAR contractor to partner in the construction of a new sewer in southeast Mesa. The proposed improvements are as follows: CP1185NS03 New Sewer Lines - Rittenhouse Sewer Installation of a new 36-inch diameter sewer line along Pecos Road from Power Road to the East Mesa Interceptor (EMI) located along the East Maricopa Floodway. Rehabilitation or replacement of an existing metering station (MS-9) that measures East Mesa Interceptor (EMI) flows. Installation of metering facilities for the new relief sewer. CP1185NS08 New Sewer Lines - Pecos Rd Relief Sewer Installation of a relief sewer parallel to the existing sewer in Pecos Road from Ellsworth Road to Power Road. The new relief sewer is planned to be routed on the north side of the existing sewer on Pecos Road, with periodic tie-overs from the existing sewer to the new sewer to shed flow load on the existing sewer. The proposed sewer will intercept any sewer services or sewer mains flowing from the north. The relief sewer is planned to be 18-inch diameter from Ellsworth Road to Hawes Road, 21-inch from Hawes Road to Sossaman Road, and 27-inch from Sossaman Road to Power Road, as determined by the 2018 Wastewater Master Plan Update. The relief sewer is to connect to an existing dry sewer at the north of the Pecos/Power Road intersection. The City may include other miscellaneous improvements, as needed. Final design and construction may be completed in phases. The estimated construction cost is $27,000,000.00. The City has entered into a professional services contract with Sustainability Engineering Group (SEG) to design these improvements. The CMAR shall work closely with and be an integral part of this project team during the design and construction phases of the project. Additional pre bid meeting note: The video conference PreSubmittal Conference is not mandatory. All interested firms may submit a Statement of Qualifications whether they attend the conference or not.
