The District has established a liquidated damage rate of $1,000.00 per calendar day for each and every calendar day that the work remains fully uncompleted or unaccepted by the District. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and further reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids or in the bidding Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to section 1770 et seq. of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the rates for overtime and holiday work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Copies are on file with and available upon request from the District. Prime Contractor bidders shall be required to have a valid Class A or B Contractor's License. Bids must be from an appropriately licensed contractor and must be sealed. Interested bidders must be appropriately licensed. The Contract Documents for the Project have many unique requirements. Bidders are cautioned to carefully review all of the Contract Documents prior to submitting a Bid and to obtain pre-Bid clarification of any provision which bidder believes is ambiguous or confusing, as provided for in the Contract Documents. The Engineers Estimate for this project is $78,000. Within 10 days after notification of the Award of Contract, the successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120.
