The mitigate improvements would consist of removing material from previous slides and constructing a debris flow detention basin, installation of debris fencing, construction of gabion walls, construction of a new box culvert, installation of culverts and effort to regrade and repair the existing channel. Part of the work is in semi-remote areas and helicopter work will be required. All work is to be performed in accordance with the State Department of Highways - Division of Highways - State of Colorado - Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition and City of Glenwood Springs Design Standards.
