Site work for a mixed-use development in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a development.

The Rifle Bunkhouse is a temporary housing accommodation for seasonal and permanent new-hire employees working in the Rifle Ranger District (RRD) of the White River National Forest (WRNF). The bunkhouse siding is composed of wood panels approximately 4'x10' in size that have been cut to fit. The material has been weathered due to the sun and dry conditions with little shade providing protection. The lower portion of the bunkhouse siding below the sill plates consists of stucco/foam-type material. Some birds have created holes in the wooden siding and made nests in the wood framed wall cavities. The windows are also heavily weathered, with failing seals and need replacement. The work for this project consists of removing the current siding and related window trim from the bunkhouse, along with any damaged plywood sheathing underneath. The damaged plywood will be replaced, and a weather resistant house wrap will be installed around the building. Non-fixed windows will be replaced with vinyl windows and properly sealed/flashed from water intrusion. Cement fiber siding, trim, and a drip edge will be installed above trim, windows, and siding transitions as appropriate. Old unnecessary trim features around windows and building walls shall be removed and new trim and siding will be installed in a clean and simple fashion that matches the aesthetic of the adjacent Rifle District office building. The new siding will be painted with a color matching the Rifle District office building. Pre-bid Site Visit will be held on August 15, 2024 at 9:30AM (Mountain Time). Enter through the gate, just past the Rifle Ranger Station. Meet in the parking lot on the right; in front of the bunkhouse. See Attachment 003- Map and Directions. All questions regarding the Solicitation are due via email to heather.coleusda.gov by 5:00PM Mountain Time on August 22, 2024. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within _14 days[Contracting Officer insert number] calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than _May 30, 2025.
