Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Sunnyvale, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
The City has a 25 year lease (with an automatic 10 year extension) that commenced in 2010 with Santa Clara County for the operation of this Baylands Park. This project provides for the repair and/or replacement of infrastructure including irrigation systems, playground equipment, drainage systems, buildings, and asphalt surfaces at Sunnyvale Baylands Park. Current funds are for the replacement of irrigation controllers and renovation of irrigation systems. Following the completion of the Cricket Stadium Study Issue DPW 20-15, FY 2024/25 and FY 2025/26 funds are for design and construction for renovation of bathrooms, parking lots and pathways, and playgrounds. Cost estimates were developed by staff based upon recently completed projects This project is included in the City of Sunnyvale's FY 2024 -2043 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 9, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Funding is anticipated from 2024 to 2026.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
