T-201.29R001-3-02 - ASPHALT RESURFACING OF BLUE MOUNTAIN INTERCHANGE AT MP 201.29 IN FRANKLIN COUNTY This project provides for the asphalt milling and resurfacing of the Blue Mountain Interchange ramps and toll plaza at milepost 201.29 in Franklin County. Other work to be performed includes full depth shoulder reconstruction, guide rail improvements, and the installation of erosion control measures including shoulder backup, rock armor, rock blankets, rock lining and topsoil and seeding. Maintenance and Protection of Turnpike Traffic is also included. Major work items may include the following items: 174 CY Class 1 Excavation 50 TON Subbase(No. 2A) 156 TON Subbase Under Guide Rail 2,960 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design (various courses) 26,374 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 2" Depth 812.50 LF Type 31-S Guiderail 773 SY Shoulder Backup 397 SY Rock Lining, Class R-4 1,243 CY Rock Armor, Modified 1,085 CY Rock Blanket Interchange, Exit 201, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
