Greenville County is soliciting sealed electronic proposals in response to UNIT 4 CELL 4 GEOSYNTHETIC MATERIALS, This solicitation is not for construction, it is for procurement and storage of materials. Vendor shall provide geosynthetic materials for landfill base liner construction (GCL, 60-mil HDPE, Geocomposite). Materials are to be purchased and stored by the Proposer or the materials manufacturer to ensure the materials can be produced and delivered to the Twin Chimneys Landfill in September 2024. It is the intent that the materials would be purchased by a geosynthetics installer that has been approved by the materials manufacturer. The manufacturer could also store the materials. Storage of the materials does not guarantee that the Proposer will be the installer of the materials as that is a separate solicitation. The County desires to purchase the geosynthetic materials (GCL, 60-mil HDPE, geocomposite) for the base liner construction for the next cell (Cell 4). These materials are being purchased ahead of the base liner construction in order to minimize schedule delays due to material availability. The construction for the base liner will be a separate solicitation for construction to begin in August/September 2024.
