Description of Work: HMA Wedge for ChipsealThis work involves the placement of HMA wedge to correct inversion, quarter crown, and general road failures of the bituminous pavement, over the existing pavement to achieve strength and proper cross section where necessary and as directed by engineer. Some areas may only be quarter crown correction, while other areas will be full wedge due to condition of roadway. This work will be distributed over approximately 1 miles of Wexford County roads. The Wexford County Road Commission will perform preparatory work, including shoulder grading and sweeping, HMA wedge layout, along with aggregate shoulder work after bituminous paving is complete. The contractor will be responsible for all items of work listed in the Bid Proposal. HMA Wedge and OverlayThis work involves the placement of HMA wedge to correct inversion, quarter crown, and general road failures of the bituminous pavement in preparation of placing a HMA Overlay. HMA details and a brief description of the projects are listed below: 23 Road Boon Township, Sections 25 & 36 Approximately 2.00 miles This project will consist of a chipseal underlay, 2 HMA shoulder base to widen, and a 2 overlay. This project will involve trenching to place a 2 thick x 2 wide HMA shoulder base course to widen the road. Trenching will be performed by WCRC. The shoulder base course will be incorporated into the HMA wedge placement. The overlay will be placed at 220 lbs/syd. Butt-joints will be milled to transition to existing pavement at 3 locations, along with curb profile milling at 34 Rd. All milling to be performed by HMA paving contractor. Approach paving will be performed at 34 Rd and 36 Rd intersections. The HMA paving contractor will be required to coordinate the work
