This Invitation to Tender consists of the supply, delivery and offloading of 1,816 Guide Rails complete with hardware Compliant bids will be evaluated based upon the lowest total price bid that meets the specifications listed within this document. Class A Type 2W Beam Guide Rail:
1. Galvanized 2. Conforming to AASHTO Designation M-180 3. Effective Length of Beam: 3.81m 4. Complete with necessary hardware (each piece of rail shall be delivered with): a. 8 x 1-1/4" bolts and nuts
b. 1 x 14" bolt and nut, 1 washer and 1 rectangle washer 5. Guide rails are to be delivered to the locations indicated in the attached document. 6. Each section of guide rail, in accordance with AASHTO M-180 requires markings as follows: a. Name or brand of manufacturer
b. Identification symbols or code for heat
c. Number and coating lot
d. AASHTO Spec #

Bids must include pricing for delivery and shipping to the Shipping Address attached. Deliveries thereafter the requested date may be cancelled. The province of New Brunswick reserves the right to negotiate pricing, value added and other savings opportunities with the successful proponent at time of award and throughout the contract. Award of contracts: no contract shall be awarded and no payment shall be made to a vendor unless authorized by the Minister or his delegates. The Minister may make an award to the preferred vendor conditional on the negotiation and acceptance of a detailed contract between the Province and the vendor. In such cases, should the detailed contract negotiations not be completed in a reasonable period of time, the Province reserves the right to discontinue negotiations with the vendor and subsequently enter into negotiations with the second preferred vendor. No right or duty, in whole or in part, of the vendor under a contract issued may be assigned or delegated without the prior consent of the Strategic Procurement Branch. Where the estimated value of the goods or services to be procured is below the lowest applicable threshold value of any relevant trade agreement, Service New Brunswick reserves the right to give preferential treatment to a prospective supplier from New Brunswick. Should this right be exercised, the following order of priority will apply: a) firstly, New Brunswick manufacturers if the goods to be procured are manufactured in New Brunswick; and b) secondly, New Brunswick vendors.
