Solicitation No: N6247824RJB20 Scope of Work: The Government is soliciting to award a task order for structural repair of corroded steel framing and concrete spalling at Building 58 - Crane and Material Handling Equipment Compound. The contractor shall consider all existing conditions and means of construction, in accordance with enclosure (2). Performance Period: Design phase will be established at 240 calendar daysfrom the date of contract award. The task order completion date will be established at 510 calendar days from the date of contract award. The contractor shall commence work in accordance with FAR 52.211-10, Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (Apr 1984)-Alternate I Liquidated Damages: In accordance with FAR 52.211-12: Liquidated Damages-Construction (Sept 2000), if the Contractor fails to complete the design phase within the time specified in the task order, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $200.00 for each calendar of delay until the design phase is completed or accepted. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the task order, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,070.00 for each calendar day of delay until all work is completed or accepted. Magnitude of the Proposed Task Order: The estimated price range of this work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bonds: A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond is required. In accordance with FAR 52.228-1, Bid Guarantee (Sep 1996), of the basic contract, a bid guarantee in the proper form and amount shall be submitted with the task order proposal. The bid guarantee shall be 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less. Bonds shall be accompanied by a document authenticating the agent's authority to sign. Within 14 calendar days after the task order is awarded, the Contractor is required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the total amount of the task order in accordance with NAVFAC Acquisition Supplement (NFAS) 5252.228-9305, Notice of Bonding Requirements (Dec 2000). For this procurement, the Bid Guarantee shall be submitted with the proposal via Solicitation Manager. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be submitted via email to the Contract Specialist.
