CAK Runway 1-19 Lighting Replacement - This project will remove all existing runway lights and cable along the Runway 1-19 circuit. The circuit will be re-installed in the existing conduits and duct bank with new HIRL LED lights being placed on the existing base cans. The existing runway signage system will be converted from incandescent lights to LED lights and will be placed on a new dedicated circuit separate from the runway circuit. A Cashier's Check or Certified Check drawn on a solvent bank authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, payable to the Akron Canton Airport Authority, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the contract price, or a Bid Guaranty Bond executed by the bidder and a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio and satisfactory to the Authority in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) on the contract price will be required. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of twenty percent (20%) of the amount of the contract will be required and shall guarantee against defective or inferior materials or workmanship which may develop during the period of one (1) year from the date of the Owner's final settlement with the contractor. Bids may be held by the Akron Canton Airport Authority for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. Evaluation of Proposals Proposals may be held by the Owner for purposes of review and evaluation by the Owner for a period not to exceed _60_ calendar days from the stated date for receipt of bids. The Owner will tabulate all bids and verify proper extension of unit costs. The Bidder shall honor their proposal for the duration of this period of review and evaluation. The bid guaranty will be held by the Owner until this period of review has expired or a contract has been formally executed.
