The following four (4) lines have been added to the scope of work in addition to what was originally provided: -Shade structure shall be 34' x 34' x 12' entry -Contractor's pricing shall include saw cutting the existing concrete slab for shade structure footings. -Contractor's pricing shall include installing new poured in place surface where the new shade structure columns are located. -Contractor's pricing shall include the pruning (cutting back) of the tree branches that impose over the fence of the existing play area The successful Bidder accepts this contract with the understanding that should they fail to complete the work/delivery in an acceptable manner and in the time stated, shall be subject to the payment of liquidated damages as stated in the bid document. Liquidated damages for this project are as follows: $0.00 /per day substantial completion deadline missed and $0.00/per day completion deadline missed. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total estimated contract amount for the school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that may exceed $100K. Should the Bidder withdraw their bid response without entering into a contract the Bid Bond may be forfeited in whole or in part. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to submit a performance and/or labor bond, Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the base bid amount for the project, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded. All questions or requests for clarification of technical issues and terms pertaining to this Bid must be emailed to JaNese Graves gravesj1@scsk12.org by 11:00 AM/CST on April 30, 2024. Subject line of the email shall read "Questions - IFB 05082024JKGB Brownsville Rd Shade Canopy." Questions must specifically reference the section of the Bid to which the question pertains. To prevent an unfair advantage to any respondent, all questions and answers will be posted as an Addendum/Q&A on Procurement's website on May 1, 2024 by EOD. The anticipated terms of this contract shall be twelve (12) weeks. The work shall begin after contract is fully executed and upon issuance of the "Notice to Proceed."
