All bids shall be filed with the City Clerk on or before the time set for bid opening. The major items of work include remodeling the existing basement. The building exterior is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building totals approximately 8,800 square feet of floor area. The project area includes the Basement, totaling 4,282 square feet of floor area. The proposed bid range for the project is from $450,000 to $700,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The entire project, including cleanup, shall be physically completed within 120 working days. The project is funded with grant funding and City of Auburn monies. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn. Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond.
