The Weatherization Assistance Program enables low-income families to reduce their energy costs by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety. Eligibility is determined by a number of factors, including the number of people in your household, income sources and more. Pierce County Human Services provides weatherization services to qualifying low-income residents outside the city limits of Tacoma. This project is a single-story site-built home located in Tacoma, Washington. This contract may not exceed $50,000, including all fees and taxes. We require that the prime contractor perform at least 75% of the work in this project. We will not be hosting a pre-bid walk-through for this procurement. Please bid based on information provided. Pierce County Human Services staff will meet winning bidder on-site prior to work beginning. Installation of weatherization measures outlined in attached pricing spreadsheet. Work includes electrical measures. All work is subject to local codes and jurisdictional rules. Lead-safe work practices are expected, when applicable. Contractor will perform all work outlined in scope. Subcontractors are allowed. The contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all necessary permits. The contractor is responsible for filing intent/affidavits. Pursuant to weatherization program rules; no sales tax will be charged on materials installed. Installation must meet the Department of Commerce requirements for weatherization. The Contractor shall provide material warranty and specifications to the County and homeowner.
