Renovation of a residential development in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 875-square-foot, one-story above grade residential development.
The Weatherization Assistance Program enables low-income families to reduce their energy costs by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety. Eligibility is determined by a number of factors, including the number of people in your household, income sources and more. Pierce County Human Services provides weatherization services to qualifying low-income residents outside the city limits of Tacoma. This project is a single-story site-built home located in Tacoma, Washington. This contract may not exceed $50,000, including all fees and taxes. We require that the prime contractor perform at least 75% of the work in this project. We will not be hosting a pre-bid walk-through for this procurement. Please bid based on information provided. The start date of this procurement will be determined by program staff and the winning bidder. Projects are to be completed within 90 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed by program staff. For Public Works contracts less than or equal to $50,000 including tax and purchase services contracts which include services requiring the payment of prevailing wages less than or equal to $50,000 including tax, the County shall waive retainage and bonding but will retain the right of recovery against the Contract for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. Contractor shall assure that its officers, agents, subcontractors, and consultants shall not fund, Agreement with, or engage the services of any consultant, subcontractor, supplier, or other party who is debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible to receive funds. Contractor certifies that Contractor is not presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participating in the Agreement by any federal department or agency. Contractor will provide the Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI) for themselves and all subcontractors. The notice to proceed will be issued within five (5) to ten (10) calendar days of the execution of the Contract by the County. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and Contractor. All project work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the County. This project is a single-story site-built home located in Tacoma, Washington. The residence was built in 1950 and is in fair condition. The residence is 875 SqFt. Roof is composite and is in good condition. Combustion appliances exist in the home and combustion safety protocols are expected. Panel upgrade replacement part of this quote. Pierce County Human Services staff will meet winning bidder on-site prior to work beginning. Installation of weatherization measures outlined in attached pricing spreadsheet. Work includes electrical measures. All work is subject to local codes and jurisdictional rules. Lead-safe work practices are expected, when applicable. Contractor will perform all work outlined in scope. Subcontractors are allowed. The contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all necessary permits. The contractor is responsible for filing intent/affidavits. Pursuant to weatherization program rules; no sales tax will be charged on materials installed. Installation must meet the Department of Commerce requirements for weatherization. The Contractor shall provide material warranty and specifications to the County and homeowner.
