Site work and renovation of an educational facility in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The work generally consists of, but is not limited to, hurricane hardening improvements for existing Band Building to substantially meet the design criteria for a Hurricane Shelter as described in the ICC 500 ICC/NSSA Standard for the Design and Construction of Storm Shelters, 2020 Edition. Work includes retrofitting existing roof and ceiling structural frames, replacing lanai metal gates with concrete supports and metal rated doors, replacing jalousie windows with rated metal louvers, replacing restrooms ceiling, replacing interior doors and frames, replacing lanai and mechanical enclosure soffit, replacing existing corrugated metal roof with standing seams metal roof, replacing existing gutter, adding roof hatch, retrofitting downspouts, providing portable generator hook-up terminal to be used as an emergency shelter, and miscellaneous related work. To be eligible to submit a Bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license classification (s) B . The estimated construction cost is between $1 million and $2.5 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
