Demolition, site work and addition to a parking garage in Cary, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a parking garage; for the addition of a parking garage; and for the demolition of a parking garage.
Sealed proposals from Pre-Qualified Bidders will be received for the: - Rehabilitation of the existing portions of the Park Economy 3 lot and construction of a new customer amenity building within the parking lot limits. Balfour Beatty / Metcon has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the project and will receive bids from and contract with the principal contractors for the execution of the work. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission. Minority Business is a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes and RDU MWSB program. The goal for this project is 11% MBE and 11% WBE for Package 2 and 11% MBE and 9% WBE for Package 3. All bidders must be prequalified by Balfour Beatty / Metcon in accordance with the Airport Authority's "Prequalification of Bidders for Construction or Repair Projects Policy." The deadline for prequalification package submittals is 14 days prior to the bid date at 5:00 PM. A current listing of all prequalified bidders in each bid package and instructions for prequalification can be publicly obtained in Tab 7 of the Bid Manual. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add pre-qualified bidders beyond this deadline. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any or all proposals.
