The Town of Smithfield is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide Underground Utility Services as described in this RFP. Questions pertaining to this RFP should be directed to Michael Stallings, at mstallings@smithfieldva.gov no later than May 7th, 2024 @ 5 p.m. The contract period shall be for a three (3) year term from the date of award with the right to renew an additional two (2) years. The scope of services under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: • Providing labor and equipment for scheduled and emergency repairs/replacement to the sanitary sewer and water system, including asbestos pipe, taps and storm drainage system. • Providing repairs for utilities ranging from 2ft - 25ft in depth. • Storm water installation and repairs. a. 100 LF 15-inch RCP b. 100 LF 15-inch HDPE smooth bore. c. 100 LF 24-inch RCP. d. 100 LF 24-inch HDPE smooth bore. Cost of pipe to include 6 inches of bedding stone #25 or #26, with class 1 backfill from stone to 1 FT above the top of pipe
