Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This alley improvement project includes new concrete pavement, new alley approaches, removing and replacing the 4 foot concrete sidewalk along with some curb & gutter replacement. The alley is located in the 1200 block between SW Fillmore Street and SW Western Avenue and between SW 12th Street and SW Huntoon Street. DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR UNITS OF WORK: Pavement Removal 1,164 SY 7" Reinforced Concrete Pavement 1,095 SY Combined Curb & Gutter, Type II 39 LF Question Deadline 05/17/2024 at 1:00 PM CT All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documentsshall be submitted only through the City of Topeka's e-Procurement System at least 10 calendar days prior to the opening of Bids. All questions and answers will be posted to the Bid Event. Questions and answersthat result in a material changed to the scope of work or quantities will require issuance of an addendum. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the City of Topeka, Kansas. The original bid security shall be in the office of Contracts and Procurement before the 2:00 closing date General Conditions sets forth Owner requirements ast o performance and other Bonds. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it shall be accompanied by the required Contract Security. An Affirmative Action program means a positive program designed to ensure that a good faith effort will be made to employ applicants and to treat employees equally without regard to their race, sex, religion, color, national origin, age, ancestryor handicap. An affirmative action program shall include, where applicable, but not be limited to, the following: recruitment, recruitment advertising, employment, upgrading, promotion, demotion, transfer, lay-off, termination, rates of pay, other terms or conditions of employment, selection for training, and apprenticeship. It shall include goals, methodology and a timetable for implementation of the program, when appropriate.
