Site work and new construction of a military facility in Quinte West, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 270,000-square-foot, one-story above grade military facility; and for site work for a military facility.

DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) is requesting Proposals from Design-Build Teams to design and construct the STTC Main Operating Base - East at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario following a modified design-build approach. Additional details are provided in the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the requirements set out in the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Chapter Nineteen of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP). Work Package 1: Design of concrete apron expansion for five (5) drive in/drive out apron aircraft parking spaces, asphalt taxilane, flight line parking, apron/taxiway edge lighting and apron flood lighting. Apron expansion and taxilane construction will eliminate the existing storm water retention pond located to the east of the current North Apron footprint. Design will include for a new facility properly sized to account for loss of existing pond and increased hard surface as a result of the project. Work Package 2: Design of a new approximately 25,000 net m2 437 Transport Squadron (437 (T) Sqn), North American Aerospace Defence (NORAD) Readiness Posture (RP), and In-Service Support (ISS) Maintenance Contractor Facility. The facility will include two (2) hangar bays to house one (1) aircraft in each bay, office spaces, maintenance workshops, telecommunications rooms, common spaces, storage, exterior parking for privately owned motor vehicles, short term tractor trailer parking and separate tractor trailer parking. The facility will require re-routing of an existing roadway which will be included in the design. Additionally, the design will include all required security fencing as per the Security Design Brief (SDB) and extension of site services.
