Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Windsor, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work in general consists of demolition, grading and drainage improvements, concrete pavement, asphalt, and site furnishings. The attention of the Parks and Recreation Department and contain the title Hiram Lewis Park Pickleball Court Project. Said bids will be referred to the Windsor Town Council for consideration. All forms and documents listed under Bidder's Book heading in the Table of Contents should be printed on single sided sheets. Pursuant to Section 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq., of the Labor Code of the State of California, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Directors of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file in the principal office of the Town of Windsor, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. Said prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be made available to any interested party on request. The successful bidder shall post a copy of such determinations at each job site. The Windsor Town Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which proposal is the lowest bid of a responsible bidder. The Windsor Town Council also reserves the right to waive any nonconformity not material to the cost of performance in the said proposals or bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 (sixty) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Questions may be referred to the Parks and Facilities Maintenance Division at (707) 838- 5399. Prior to the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, a preconstruction meeting will be held at the Office of the Project Manager or worksite for the purpose of discussing with the Contractor the scope of work, Contract drawings, specifications, existing conditions, materials to be ordered, equipment to be used, and all essential matters pertaining to the prosecution of and the satisfactory completion of the project as required. The Contractor's representative at this conference shall include all major superintendents for the work and may include major sub-Contractors. Questions regarding the plans and specifications shall be addressed to Charlie Johnson, Parks and Facilities Superintendent, cjohnson@townofwindsor.com. The last day for questions is May 23, 2024.
