Site work for a mixed-use development in Everett, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Established in 1940, Kiwanis Park serves as an important gathering place for residents of the Port Gardner Neighborhood. Scheduled renovations of parks and their equipment are necessary to keep them functional and enjoyable for the community, compliant with new standards, and to minimize maintenance costs. The Kiwanis Park Playground Replacement project includes demolition of the existing playground, removal of the engineered wood fiber surfacing system, construction of a new forever lawn surfacing system, installation of the new playground equipment and certification of the design and installation. This project will also make needed renovations and repairs to the sport court located in the park. As of February 14, 2025, this project is included in the City of Everett's Fiscal Year 2025 Budget. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
