The purpose of this project is to precommercially thin northern hardwood stands in the Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula. Question Deadline 05/15/2024 at 3:00 PM ET Anticipated date the State will post answers to bidder questions on electronically 4:00 p.m. Eastern Friday, May 17, 2024. Anticipated contract begin date: Thursday, May 23, 2024 The final condition of these stands shall have all sub merchantable American Beech severed at the stump and left where they fall. Trees should be completely on the ground and anything hung up in adjacent trees need to be completely felled to meet specifications. Cutting non designated trees is not acceptable and will impact performance payments at a rate of $25.00 per tree. This work must be completed during the growing season of June 1st to September 15th, 2024.
