In accordance with Chapter 14.09 of the San Jose Municipal Code entitled "Prevailing W age Requirements for City Contracts Involving Public Works," the contractor will be required to comply with the prevailing wage provisions in California Labor Code Sections 1720 through 1861, and the City's Office of Equality Assurance is authorized to provide certain local enforcement of those provisions. As such, the contractor will need to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rates for holiday and overtime work..
