Asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Summit, New Jersey. Completed plans call for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Removal and Disposal of Asbestos Containing Materials Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Summit City Board of Education for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 Summit Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive immaterial deficiencies in the bidding if it is in the interest of same to do so The project consists of removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials as identified in the specifications. Types and approximate amounts are included in Section 2.0 of the specifications. All abatement work will be performed utilizing both occupied and unoccupied full containment procedures in accordance with NJAC 5:23-8 as well as NonFriable and Wrap & Cut and this specification prepared by AHERA CONSULTANTS INC., P.O. Box 385, Oceanville, NJ 08231. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
