The City of Aurora is seeking a qualified Contractor to perform asbestos abatement and property demolition services as outlined in the bid. The city is negotiating purchase contracts for 10 structures that have suffered significant flood damage. The city will raze up to 7 residential structures under this contract. Commencement of work will be scheduled based on property acquisition and FEMA regulations. Estimate Asbestos Abatement: $16,450.00 Demolition: $73,500.00 All bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available through the Bid Express website. A fee of $40 will be incurred to bid electronically on a pay-per-solicitation basis; alternatively, vendors may subscribe for $50 per month to have access to all solicitations and email notifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W.
