Site work, paving, remodeling, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Vashon, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 17,787-square-foot fire / police facility; for the addition of a 877-square-foot fire / police facility; for the renovation of a 7,249-square-foot fire / police facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Vashon Island Fire and Rescue invites interested and qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the following project: Fire Station 55 Remodel The project, consists of all work to be performed as indicated in the Project Manual, Drawings, and any posted Addenda. The work consists of all labor, materials, and other incidentals for the expansion and remodel of a 17,787 Square foot Fire Station and associated site and offsite work. The existing Fire Station is a (3) level Reinforced Masonry and steel and wood framed construction building, built in 1992. The proposed expansion and remodel will include selective demolition, an 877 sf addition and 7249 sf Renovation. The completed area of work will consist of support spaces, Administration spaces updating, crew working spaces, crew living spaces, and (10) sleep mg rooms. The site is approximately 2.03 acres. Site work will include site structures, patio, with canopy, partial parking space and ADA revisions, and Partial sidewalk revisions/replacement, minor landscaping and partial AC paving. Approximately $2,350,000 excluding sales tax Public Bid Opening Vashon Island Fire and Rescue Fire District Headquarters 10020 SW Bank Rd Vashon Island WA 98070 Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and initially verified for completeness. Bid results will be posted online after the public bid opening. Vashon Island Fire and Rescue reserves the right ascertain full compliance with the bid proposal requirements in a more detailed review after the public bid opening. All bid submittal envelopes must be opaque, sealed, and plainly marked on the outside with " Bid for Fire Station 55 Remodel . The bid submittal envelope must contain all documents required at the bid submittal time. No bids will be accepted after the bid submittal time. Upon submittal, bids will be marked by the Vashon Island Fire and Rescue with the time and date received, and then secured until the date and time set for the public bid opening. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within three hundred and five (305) calendar days after the Owners Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be achieved within forty-five (45) calendar days after Substantial Completion. Question Deadline 05/20/2024 at 3:00 PM PT. Questions regarding the project shall be submitted in writing to Darin Wate (darin@tca-inc.com) via email with the subject line of "VIFR55 Remodel: Bid Question". Questions received via phone or any other method other than email will not be accepted. Receipt of questions will be acknowledged however bidder questions will be answered via addendum.
