Provide equipment with experienced, licensed operators to perform snow and ice removal services on VDOT maintained Interstate and Limited Access Primary routes throughout Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, New Kent and Powhatan Counties and the Cities of Richmond and Colonial Heights in VDOTs Richmond District, and a portion of Louisa County. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide equipment with experienced, licensed operators to perform snow and ice removal services on VDOT maintained Interstate and Limited Access Primary routes throughout Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, New Kent and Powhatan Counties and the Cities of Richmond and Colonial Heights in VDOT's Richmond District, and a portion of Louisa County. Snow Removal Season is defined as November 1st of each year through April 30th of the following year. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Cheryl Lewis at Cheryl.Lewis@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on May 16, 2024. The Contractor(s) shall provide the snow removal equipment listed with experienced, licensed operators, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient snow removal operation. The work will consist of, but not be limited to, snow and ice removal from VDOT maintained roadways. Work shall be performed on an as needed basis on Interstate and Limited Access Primary routes in the Richmond District.
