Work to be performed shall include asphalt milling and resurfacing, aggregate grading, asphalt reconstruction, installation of curb and gutter, sidewalk, curb ramp construction, and approximately 800 feet of storm sewer and other appurtenant work relating to 5 street segments totaling approximately 5,800 lineal feet of roadway. There is no fee for registration on the plan holder's list and download of electronic bidding documents. General Specifications, description and conditions upon which the bid proposal is to be based are on file for examination at the office of the Engineer, Abonmarche Consultants, Inc. 17 N. Washington Street, Valparaiso, IN 46383. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period. In addition, a Maintenance Bond will be required for a period of three (3) years prior to final acceptance by the Owner. The Town Council of DeMotte, Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bidding, to accept a full or partial award of the Bid or Bids which, in its judgement, will be in the best interest of the Town of DeMotte. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
