The project is located south of the Town of DeMotte along on State Road 10. Work to be performed shall include the installation of approximately 19,500 lineal feet of 10-in water main, approximately 13,900 lineal feet of 8-in HDPE force main by directional drill, approximately 6,400 lineal feet of 12 gravity sewer, two municipal lift stations, and other appurtenant work. Contracts will be split up between Sanitary related work and Water related work. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid proposal form provided, accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to the Owner in the amount of not less than five percent (5) of the bid. Each bid shall include Indiana State Form 96 and all other required forms as described in the bidding documents. Bidder shall be certified to do work in the State of Indiana. Additional Bidding requirements are in the Instructions to bidders included in the Project Documents. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period. In addition a Warranty Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent will be required for a period of three (3) years prior to final acceptance by the Owner. No Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project. The Town of DeMotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bidding, to accept a full or partial award of the Bid or Bids which, in its judgement, will be in the best interest of The Town of DeMotte. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.
