Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to provide milling and resurfacing improvements to various roads within Lee County, Florida. All work performed shall follow all Federal, State, Local, OSHA and department mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. 1.3. Contractor(s) shall review the list of roads and all drawings detailing work to be performed under this solicitation. 1.4. The scope of work is further defined and detailed within Exhibits E-O found attached to the draft contract agreement affixed to this solicitation package as well as within the plans associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND LOCATIONS 2.1. The work on this contract consists of approximately the following: 2.1.1. 2.1.2. 2.1.3. 2.1.4. 2.1.5. 2.1.6. 2.1.7. 2.1.8. 2.1.9. Drop-offs greater than 3 inches along the Edge of Pavement, whether preexisting or not, shall be filled and compacted for public safety. Contractor shall use pay item 120-6 on the Bid Schedule. Locations marked as Texas swales shall be raised 2 inches from the existing elevation and asphalt to be paid under Superpave 12.5, which is item 334-1-13B on the Bid Schedule. Clipping edges of pavement, to ensure proper width to be paved. Sweep and remove any loose materials from the road to be paved. All roads shall be tacked and receive a 1.5" (165lbs) avg overlay of Superpave 12.5 traffic lvl C. Edges to be dressed up with no material left piled up or in windrows within ROW. Bump Mill as needed for tie-in to the roadways not being paved and driveways as needed for a smooth transition. No feathered joints shall be allowed. Any potholes or depressions shall be filled and compacted prior to paving the roadway mainline. Driveways shall be cleaned of debris after the paving operation has been completed. 2.1.10. Millings from this project shall be the property of the winning bidder.
