Site work and paving for a civil project in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project includes construction of a new cast in place buried sewer diversion structure; select demolition of existing masonry arch sewers; construction of new sanitary sewers; removal of spoils and re-grading the site; construction of pavements; and associated work. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. A performance & payment BOND, in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The undersigned agrees to complete the work within 180 consecutive calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed, unless additional time shall be granted by the Owner in accordance with the provisions of Section 00 70 00. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
