6th Street Reconstruction The project involves roadway improvements and public utility installation in 6th Street, from Smith Street to Kensling Street. The improvements include asphalt surfacing, new concrete sidewalk, new concrete curb and gutters, new raised concrete crosswalk, new concrete ADA ramps and driveways and storm water system improvements. The work involves saw cutting, excavation, trenching, removal, compaction, construction of: roadbed and asphalt paving, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter, concrete raised crosswalk, concrete driveway and flatwork, storm water catch basins, storm pipe, striping, and site restoration. The bid proposal shall be submitted under sealed cover and marked with the Contractor's name and project name. The Engineer's estimate for this Project is between $750,000 and $800,000. All proposals must be submitted on the regular forms furnished. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder who will be asked to furnish a 100% Corporate Surety Performance Bond for the faithful performance of the contract. Prospective bidders must be on the Plan Holders List for their bid to be considered. Bid results will be posted on the city's website when available. There is no pre-bid meeting for this project. No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered by the City of Harrisburg unless the bidder is Licensed with the Construction Contractors Board and/or by the State Landscape Contractors Board as required by ORS 671.530 and has a current Public Works Bond of $30,000.00 prior to starting Work on the Project. This Project is for public improvement and therefore subject to ORS 279C.800 thru 279C.870 Oregon State prevailing wage requirements. No bid will be received or considered by the City of Harrisburg unless the bid is signed on the City of Harrisburg format that includes/contains a statement by the bidder that the provisions of ORS 279C.840 are to be complied with. If this project is over $100,000, a subcontractor listing is required and can be submitted with the bid. If the subcontractor listing is not submitted with the bid, it must be received within two (2) hours after the bid closing time and date at the City of Harrisburg, 120 Smith Street, Harrisburg, OR 97446 to the attention of City Recorder, facsimile is acceptable at 541-995-9244.
