As of May 31,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 11, 2024. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit by a cashier's or certified check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit or bond shall be forfeited to the City of Yelm. To be considered responsible, the Bidder must meet all required criteria as listed in RCW 39.04.350. This Contract provides for the construction of the 2024 ADA Sidewalk Ramp Rehabilitation. Work will consist of removal and replacement of 62 existing sidewalk ramps to comply with ADA/PROWAG standards and in accordance with WSDOT standard plans for curb ramps and detectable warning surface, as provided in the Bid and Contract Documents. The existing 62 sidewalk ramps are at various locations throughout the City, as shown on the Location Map and Data Sheets, also as provided in the Bid and Contract Documents. The City may elect to add additional sidewalk ramps to the Contract, depending on available budget and the unit price submitted of an alternate unit price bid. A Notice to Proceed will be given to allow the Contractor to proceed with document review and materials procurement prior to physical site work beginning, Physical work shall begin within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed or the execution of a Public Woks Contract, whichever occurs later. The Contractor shall complete all work by October 31, 2024. The Contractor shall submit a final invoice no later than November 29, 2024. The estimated construction cost is $300,000 to $350,000. All bid proposals shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and all other contract documents. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. The City of Yelm reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the Bid Documents. No bidder may withdraw his hid after the hour set for the opening thereof unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
