Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wenatchee, Washington. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes removing the urban stormwater system from the No. 2 Canyon drain and re-routing the stormwater to the stormwater main on 9th Street. The canyon drain will also be piped in Ringold and 7th to help with flooding in this neighborhood. Because of limited capacity on 9th Street, infiltration facilities will installed on the Wenatchee Valley College Campus parking lots. As of August 20, 2025, this project is included in the City of Wenatchee's Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). It is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The City of Wenatchee invites qualified engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications for the 9th Street Corridor Improvements Project. The selected consultant will provide engineering services including: research and design, public involvement, environmental permitting, and right-of-way acquisition for reducing the number of travel lanes from four to three with bike lanes and the center lane operating as a left-turn lane at intersections, reconfiguring the traffic signals, and updating ADA pushbutton and sidewalk/curb ramps.
